Good evening, everyone!
Sanaa here (aka adashofsunny) delighted to host Open Link Night today and Live edition on Saturday.
You can link up one poem of your choice down below or write to the optional mini prompt which we are offering today.
This is a live edition, but we will only have one opportunity to join on Saturday at 10 AM New York Time. The session will run on Google Meet.
Please click on the link below to join us on Saturday:

Now for the mini-prompt:
Consider this line from Rainer Maria Rilke’s poem from “Lady at a Mirror.”
“As in sleeping-drink spices softly she loosens in the liquid-clear mirror her fatigued demeanor.”
For further inspiration I have included an image to stir your muse.

If you choose to use the optional mini-prompt, you can use the line, the photo, both or just one.
When you have linked up the poem you can read and comment as usual, and you are welcome to join us on the live session at 10 AM New York Time. Have fun and see you on the poetry trail!

Hi Sanaa, thank you for hosting. I came across an unfinished poem I had written about my proposal to Kathy, when we were visiting in Beaufort, NC, checking out some fantastic tall ships moored in their beautiful little harbor. We lived in Cincinnati OH at the time. The feeling welled in me to finish it, and create a piece of art to accompany it. So I did exactly that, and posted both. It really brought back the magical feeling of that day — that wonderful little weekend escape. 👍🏼✌🏼❤️
It is a lovely poem, Rob! I am so honored that you chose to share it with us all 🩷🩷

I hope y’all had fun this morning. I tried, but with all the meds I take, it is just too early — because my mind is still slumbering. If you had it start at 1:00 PM New York… 👍🏼 🙂
