Hello friends and poets,
For us up here in the north we are now in the darkest period of the year, and if you are more blessed with rain than with snow it seems like the few hours of daylight feels like dusk. This of course affects the mood and to keep the mood up we light candles to keep us in a decent mood while we wait for the holidays.
Now when the bar opens we have comfort food to bring you warmth, and to make room for food to come we keep it light and vegetarian. Advent used to be a time of lent and I like to keep it a little bit like that.
On the other hand this is a period here in Sweden when companies bring their employees and customers to “Christmas table” which is an oversized smörgårdbord (note the Swedish Spelling) with cold and warm dishes. It takes hours to eat and I think there is not one person who can have a taste of everything.

For our US writers I assume that the next week(s) will be filled with recipes made from leftovers.
This brings me to the optional miniprompt of today which is abundance. You may use it in any way you want it, you may reflect on lack of abundance, you may write about true abundance or you may use this painting of abundance
Musée Ingres-Bourdelle – L’Allégorie du goût – WIERIX Jérôme (graveur) , VOS Martin de (d’après)
If you don’t want to write to the mini-prompt you are welcome to link up any one of your poems at Mr Linky below. Then read and comment on other poems and if you feel up to listen and read your own poems we have a live session on Saturday December 6 at 10 AM New York Time,

Welcome, the bar is open and tonight we serve mulled wine with gingerbread for anyone longing for warmth. If you want something else I also have homemade lemonade with foccacia and olives.
Good evening, Bjorn and all!
Homemade lemonade with foccacia and olives sounds delicious! I will have some. Looking forward to Saturday! ❤️❤️
I thought you would like it…
Greetings everyone! A great prompt “abundance” as we navigate the Holiday Season. I would love mulled wine and gingerbread!!! Hoping to join the group Saturday morning, bright and early.
Mulled wine and gingerbread coming up… look forward to Saturday
Hi Björn and all! Mulled wine and gingerbread sounds perfect. It’s cold here today!
I decided to do a piece today on one of my favorite topics that being the mystery of time. Hello to everyone happy Thursday!
Gluehwein (Mulled Wein) is a most for me around the Holidays. (I was born and raised in Austria).
Mulled wine would lighten my dark mood and dark poem – thank you! Could I have a cinnamon stick in it?
I wrote a second piece, it is my perspective on abundance.
Hi Bjorn, I am a bit late maybe, tomorrow, I can try to listen in for the live edition. I tried before but, I had technical issues.
