Welcome to OpenLinkNight folks! This is your opportunity to link 1 poem of your choice as this is no prompt-day. For those who missed the Mr Linky deadline the past week or this Tuesday’s poetics about “The voice of the monster”, this is also your opportunity to share your poem. I also want to remind you that our Haibun Monday is still open the whole week.
In my part of the world, autumn is very cold and soon winter is upon us. Allow me to share two poems about November.
With faint dry sound,
Like steps of passing ghosts,
The leaves, frost-crisp’d, break from the trees
And fall.
To join us for Thursday’s OpenLinkNight, which happens every other week, here’s how to join:
See you at the poetry trail. ~Grace~
Welcome to OLN everyone! Looking forward to your poems ~ Aside from poetry, what else is keeping you warm on the inside ?
Hello Grace! Thank you for hosting and for providing such lovely examples.
Welcome Toni ! Looking forward to reading poems as its very cold here!
Oh my Grace. Wish I could trade with you. the high temp today is 73F…..the low last night was 63F
14 C today and raining all day long.
Wow….I am sorry Grace! At least it isn’t snowing!
Good evening. Grace, here it’s a windy night already. The day has been gray and short… by coincidence my poem reflects that… I need any kind of warmth I can get tonight
3 more days of this daylight savings time schedule, and we can get 1 more hour of sleep on Sunday. Grey and raining here too Bjorn!
What’s keeping me warm? the love of my husband and hope – always hope.
Love and Hope – love your response Toni! Also reading the Haibun on Kindness; keeps me hopeful.
🙂
Hi Grace! Thank you for hosting. It’s getting cold here too. Heating had to come on 3 days ago….sigh…more bills.
Yes… and because I can’t stand waking up so early in the morning too. Thanks for joining us Vivian!
My pleasure!
Good evening Grace ! Good evening everyone! It’s chilly here and I’ve had a strange day when everything that could go wrong went wrong: the door to the shower fell off; I lost an earring; the car alarm has been going off for no reason; the library door wouldn’t let me in – it kept getting stuck halfway; a few other things happened but the last straw is my husband’s flight home from Aberdeen has been delayed for a hour and a half so he won’t be home until after 11 – he’s been up since 4 am. Which is why I am so looking forward to reading some excellent poetry this evening. I hope your day has been problem free!
Yikes on the household hassles and specially airport delays ~ Hope your night and tomorrow specially, get better ~ Am inside the room, eating left over chocolates from Halloween, so my day is okay so far. Take care Kim ~
Thank you, Grace. Ah, chocolate [Homer Simpson dribble on chin] – there is none in the house to tempt me. 😦
Thanks for hosting, Grace!
Welcome Frank ~ I will hit up the trail in a bit ~
Happy Thursday!! It’s wash day here so I’m in the laundry room for another 90 minutes or so. Will hit the reading trail when I’m done! 😊🎃

Yes, the best way ~ Glad to see you at OLN ~
Had a happy day and wrote a rather intense poem. Not sure the weather had much to do with it, but it could be called a climate change in a way. Will read / comment tomorrow. Cheers!
Cheers to you !!!
Our November is just turning down the temperatures now- thanks for hosting the link up Grace and for featuring one of my favourites with ‘November Night’
I have been reading lots of November poems along the trail ~ Thanks for joining in~
Hello, everyone! No time to link up with anything tonight, but I hope to pass by and read me some good poetry and see what everyone else is up to. I am planning a personal writing challenge for November of writing 10 new poems and editing/redoing 5 older ones – so 15 in total. I hope to be able to share some with you.
Please do Marina ~ That is some writing challenge, so wishing you all the best ~
What beautiful poems, Grace. Mine is a song to Samhain.
