WHAT IS OLN and OLN LIVE?
OLN (Open Link Night) is an opportunity to post any one poem of your choosing on Mr. Linky below. There is no required form, length, or topic.
OLN LIVE (Open Link Night LIVE) involves the same process EXCEPT we invite you to meet poets from around the globe by signing into a LIVE session, complete with video and audio. Folks can read aloud one poem of their choosing to the group tuned in. You can read the one poem you post to Mr. Linky below or a different one OR you can just come to listen. The more the merrier! Alternatively, if you’d rather not join a live session, you can simply post a poem to Mr. Linky below so others can visit your site and read it themselves.
And just a quick personal note. I’m happy to report that Boston is finally resplendent in the autumn season! These are two photos I took Sunday on our walk to church. The red maples were so luminous they looked unreal! Mother Nature sure does know how to dress up!
I look forward to reading your poem posted to Mr. Linky below and hopefully seeing you at one or both of our LIVE sessions!

Hello dVersers and writers from around the globe! I’m so looking forward to reading what you post on Mr. Linky! We always get such a diversity of poems when it’s Open Link Night!
AND: we had folks from Sweden, Nigeria, Pakistan, the UK, Australia and the US on our LIVE session that just finished at 4 PM.
Hope to have many on Saturday as well. If you’ve never joined us before, please do link up on Saturday (see link above). We have folks who come to listen as well as those who come to read a poem of their choice. We always get into some lively conversations as well.

Thank you Lillian for hosting! You have a talent for bringing out the best in we neophyte performers. It is close to 1:30 PM in Oregon … why not an eggnog, no liquor. Might you have a shortbread cookie in that bar you are tending?
lillian said:
Eggnog and my favorite kind of cookie in the world, shortbread – coming right up! Thank you for your kind words. I LOVE hosting OLN LIVE – will miss it on Saturday but so grateful Sanaa can sub for me.

I truly appreciate that you are connecting folks around the globe. I was teaching some fourth graders today. Therefore, no time for me to join in the live event. It is time for warm drinks. Anyone have a recommendation?
I look forward to reading what you share.

Hot chocolate with a bit of Kalua in it? Or a bit of Bailys in it? Or just rich chocolate with whip cream on top?
Ali Grimshaw said:
How about some hot cocoa with peppermint schnapps?

Coming right up!

Good Evening, Poets! Thanks, lillian, for hosting OLN. I hope to join live on Saturday. How about a bottle of burgundy? 😉

Burgandy coming right up! See you Saturday 🙂

Haven’t posted in a while, but thought this new poem with an autumn theme was appropriate. I look forward to reading the poems posted by other poets.
lillian said:
Glad to have you back, James!
lillian said:
James: I just clicked on your link on Mr. Linky and it takes me to someone else’s blog. It does not take me to a poem or your poem. I deleted the link on Mr. Linky. If you’d like to repost your poem, would be glad to have it here. To do that, you need to post the exact URL to your poem.

Good morning, Poets! Sadly, life happens; due to personal business, I can’t attend today’s Live OLN. However, I hope to see you all in December!

Lillian, there is something wrong with James Rainsford link it brings me to my page. Can you please look at that? I may have to put my blog on private.
Truedessa said:
Please delete my link

Trudessa: My sincere apologies. I was away from home and taking care of my granddaughter….hence Sanaa hosted OLN LIVE for me Saturday and I am just now returning to finish reading posts for OLN. Found your comments here….and also one from James Rainsford that he hadn’t posted for a while and was posting a poem about autumn. I just looked at his “post” on Mr. Linky and it took me to a blog. I deleted his link on Mr. Linky and commented to him within this chat that I deleted his link which instead of taking me to a poem of his, took me to someone else’s blog. Somehow, Have no idea how, I think he made an error. His name/link is now deleted from Mr. Linky. I’m going to delete your link from Mr. Linky as well as it now says it’s private….and I totally understand why you did that. Again, my apologies. I’ll be leaving Mr. Linky open until tomorrow (Monday) morning and would LOVE to have you repost your poem on Mr. Linky! So sorry for the mixup and that I didn’t catch it earlier.
