Hello and welcome dVerse regulars and first time visitors!

May is one of the only two months named after females in the Gregorian calendar. Named after Maia, the goddess of fertility and growth, it is also known as the month of flowers. It is the month of spring, autumn and of intense heat with hot, dry winds (loo) depending on where you live.

Interestingly, I read this morning that people born in the months of February, May, June and October often have poetic inclination. Going by it, many of us can thank our birth month for our poetic proclivities! Of course, there was no data given to back this! 😀

May is also the month when there will be art exhibitions across many cities of India. I came across some very interesting art pieces while reading an article about it. So for this week’s poetics prompt, I would like you to draw inspiration from the following artworks by Indian artists and write a poem inspired by any one. I am sharing the artwork only and not any more information about the art or the artist. Let just the art speak to you. Go wherever the inspiration takes you and write a verse in any form you like. If the below artworks leave you uninspired you could use the following names of  some of these art shows.

1. Nothing Twice

2. Chance Remains of Another Time

3. Open Fences

After you have written a poem to the prompt o you blog:
