..getting things ready for the 19th…we thought it would be nice to share pint of home brew poetry while we take a break from working…
So if you already want to get a bit familiar with the new place, be careful not to stumble upon the paint cans, random tools or adventurous ideas laying scattered all over the place. You might get your pants a bit dirty with wallpaper paste and such things, don’t say we did not warn you.
We’d just like to say, “Welcome Poet. First round is on us. Now let’s share a verse or two.”
The theme for today is construction, building, new beginnings, publife, community..whatever jumps to your mind with the start up on the 19th ahead…have fun with it…and drop us a link…
Cheers!

Well the pub’s coming along nicely, isn’t it? Think I’ll have a pint and peruse the works of some fellow poets when they swing on by for the fun. Construction, new beginnings…hm. I’ll have to sift through my works at some point today if I have something appropriate for the sharing…

I’m not there twice. Just once on the link. Claudia has a great poem up and I just wanted to talk about where it all started – letters, words, paragraphs, readers, notebooks, essays, papers, poems. That’s my progression. How about you? Did you start with A Child’s Garden of Verse? We’re here to have fun and learn too.
Stop by on Thurs/Friday for my FormsForAll alternating with Luke Prater’s Meeting The Bar/Friday Crit. over in that corner by the window.

Looks like this is shaping up to be a wonderful pub: homey, good company, and great “music” (i.e., poetry). Is it okay if I find a corner nook to sit in–I’d be very quiet, mostly watching and learning…

Brian and Claudia – i have come to extend my advance congratulations for the official opening of “dverse pub” this Tuesday. I am sorry i won’t be around then. The 1st pre-board exam will be held this Saturday and Sunday and i am setting off my muse for now to devote myself more on reviewing lectures, lessons, tough jots and everything that has to be reviewed. Again, congratz to both of you for giving life to this another wonderful place. Hopefully by next week i can write again. God bless and to all – enjoy!!!(:
Good day!

have fun at the pre-board exam…and looking forward to seeing you next week

Hi, Happened to see this site referenced on several poetry pieces that I’ve read and thought I’d check it out. What a clever idea, a ‘Poet’s Pub,’ where people can share ideas and comments and ‘drink’ the poetry. Am so reminded of James Joyce with this!
Two questions: 1) Are all writers and poets welcome? I may have missed this explanation somewhere and wasn’t sure if we had to be invited or asked, and 2) Do we need a Word Press blog to sign up. I can’t seem to “Like” this without being asked for a Word Press sign in.
Love the idea, beautiful site!
claudia said:
hey ginny – you don’t need a wordpress account and no special invitation. all writers are welcome….good to see you over here

Hey Brian,
Just want to say thanks to you and the gang for putting yourselves out there. You make writers feel comfortable… something which can be hard to do and welcomed. Pray you find the balance between work, family, and your gift to write. Thanks to all for making “new beginnings” possible.
