Greetings, my fellow Quadrille-ists! De Jackson, aka WhimsyGizmo here, and it’s that time again: time to pen a poem of exactly 44 words, including one specific word we provide. Today, I’d like you to use your voice.
Listen to the voice inside you. Voice your opinion. Give voice to a new thought. Whether you let your inner siren loose, or stick to your usual poetic voice, please scribble us a little something of exactly 44 words, using some form of the word voice. Whether you turn that voice into a shout, a doubt, a wisp of whimsy or a whispered prayer, is up to you.
New to the Q? Here’s what to do:
The Quadrille is a poem of exactly 44 words (not including the title), including one specific word we here at dVerse provide. Just pen your poem, use the Mr. Linky below to link up, and then head out into the blogisphere to check out some of the most creative poetic voices around. The prompt is up all week, so feel free to let the voice in your heart tell you to come back for more. (And be sure to drop us a hello in the comments below!)
Now, let those poetic voice carry…

Hello all.. what better way to come back to poetry after four weeks of vacation than a quadrille. My voice has been silent for a bit long. Happy Monday to everyone
whimsygizmo said:
Hey, Bjorn! I’ve been a bit silent this summer, too. More listening than anything else. Loved your Q, and glad you’re back!
Grace said:
Thanks for hosting De. We missed your voice too!

Thanks, Grace. 🙂

Your Blogger site won’t accept my comments so I will tell you here how very strong and regal your Quadrille is this week — excellent piece Grace!

Welcome back, Björn. I haven’t been around much either. Four weeks of vacation sounds wonderful.

It was… and to a large extent my vacation took me off grid.

Cheers, fellow poetic voices! Welcome to the Q44! Have fun writing. I’m pouring tea with honey (good for the voice), and shots of Fireball (there may be karaoke later.) 😉
Björn Rudberg (brudberg) said:
Karaoke with my voice would be torture… I think I need a single malt whisky

Comin’ right up, Sir!
