HOW OLN LIVE and OLN WORKS:
Folks from across the globe log in to see and talk with each other between 3 and 4 PM Boston time. Each person can read one poem of their choosing as everyone else listens and enjoys. Some folks come to just listen and that’s absolutely okay too. The more the merrier!
When OLN LIVE is over, OLN posts are still welcome on Mr. Linky below. Post ONE poem of your choosing. There is no prompt; no required form, rhyme scheme, or length. It must be poetry however; no flash fiction. I’ll be reading and responding to every poem – and many dVerse folks enjoy reading all the poems as well. We really are a friendly bunch.
EXCITING NEWS FOR ALL D’VERSERS!
THE dVERSE ANTHOLOGY, CHIAROSCURO, WAS SELECTED BY MR. SAMUEL PERALTA TO BE INCLUDED IN LUNACODEX ON A MISSION TO THE MOON!
It’s not a hoax. It’s true! Go to lunarcodex.com and read about it. In the menu, click on More and see the first note in smaller print in yellow “GMI-Astrobotic Griffin Mission 1 to the Lunar South Pole (The Polaris Collection) which is the one we’ll be launched in…and then simply scroll down and you’ll get to a photo of our Anthology and all the poets’ names who are included in the anthology! AMAZING!
And here’s an interview with Mr. Peralta that explains the technology – a bit lengthy but amazing to watch! https://youtu.be/jco5Zwx-6EY
I’ll have a glass of chardonnay in hand as I open OLN LIVE tonight — LET’S TOAST d’VERSE GOING TO THE MOON!

Okay…..looking forward to seeing and talking with many of you from 3 to 4 PM (Boston time) today….and reading your poems as you post them. Remember, just ONE poem of your choosing.
NEW TO D’VERSE? NEED TO BE REFRESHED ON THE RULES?
HERE’S WHAT TO DO:
- Write ONE poem of your choosing. No required topic, form, rhyme scheme.
- Post the poem to your blog AND add the exact URL for your poem to Mr. Linky below.
- REMEMBER to either TAG dVerse in your post, or include a link at the end of your poem that leads readers back to dVerse (https://dversepoets.com).
- If you do not TAG or include a link to dVerse at the end of your post, I will gently remind you to do so. After all, this will increase your readership and comments, and others will find dVerse and hopefully join in the fun. If you do not add the TAG or link after my reminder, I will remove your post from Mr. Linky. I do not want to do that! So please do include the TAG or link!
I am getting invalid meeting when i click on the link
🤍
Same here
ditto
Lillian: Here we go again. The links both come up as “Invalid”. I’ll check back later.
Glenn: a) apologies for the technical glitches but so glad we got it rolling. Fun to see and hear everyone.
And for me the technical glitches keep happening….I tried to comment on your post. Wrote it in and then did the I am not a robot….identified the motorcycles in the I am not a robot test…but then it was at the bottom of my screen so I could not submit my comment. So will put it here in hopes that you read it!
I LOVED this episode! Lucky Buck to have Dos….a puppy’s unconditional love is just what he needs to heal!
Lillian — the “ ” looks like code that the WordPress editor uses. Is the link in this blog a typo, perhaps?
I just copy/pasted the link, and then removed the “ ”
I’m in the room — all alone.
Actually, I’m waiting to be left in.
Greetings Lillian and all,
Enjoy the vino, as well as the Live event Now that Summer has well and truly arrived, I thought it was about time I published something new. With all the challenges facing the world right now seeming to be coming to a sizzling climax, quite literally! It’s hard for the current hiatus not to seep into your consciousness… So here it is, is my latest poetic offering – ‘Come what may…:” http://www.scotthastie.com/?p=5814
Hope you enjoy and, as ever, comments and/or personal responses are always very welcome, if it touches you… For sure, there will be something quite different and spikier next time round, in the Autumn.
Regards as ever.
Scott
maybe try the link in the (right) sidebar?
Take the “nbsp” off of the link, and you can wait with me — to be let into the room.
Now I’m at the new link — waiting to be let in.
Lillian, have you tried coming back in to the meeting without Companion Mode?
Thank goodness! We are LIVE now on Google Meet 🙂
Sanaa, thank you for your persistence in making it happen ❤
My pleasure, Lisa! Glad it worked out in the end. Phew! ❤️
Nice post
Hi Lillian and poet friends, so lovely to hear we are going to the moon! I won’t be able to join you live and will catch up with your poems a bit later on the trail xxx
Congratulations on the trip to the moon. Samuel Peralta is a fine poet and storyteller himself, and I have been following the progress of his lunar codex on Facebook. Thanks again for another Open Link Night, and I will be around in the morning to read and visit.
Hello Lillian and All. I was able to get into the room with sight and sound on my phone and it worked well. When the link was changed and rejoined with the PC and was able to see and hear everyone but could not be heard or seen myself. It was great to hear you read and see you. Maybe next time… If you get a chance check out Sam Peralta’s youtube interview where he talks about how the dVerse poetry anthology was chosen to be sent to the moon and the logistics of it all.
Despite a few glitches, we were able to meet and read. Yeah!!!
Much💚love
Thank you for hosting, Lillian. I’m glad we were finally able to “meet” today.

I am so far behind today I had no chance of joining you.

i have shared a reworked poem from last summer.

Hello all! Well, after a few glitches we had a wonderful OLN LIVE complete with a toast to dVerse going to the moon! Just think….all of those almost 100 poets who are published in our dVerse Anthology, Chiaroscuro, will be able to step outside, look up at the moon, and say, my words are up there! WOW!
I shall be back to reading and responding to all the wonderful posts you are making to OLN tonight. Right now, I’m a bit under the weather and retiring to the couch with a glass of chardonnay and a book…probably soon to doze off.
The pub is open…please post a poem of your choosing. If you find the door locked, the key is under the pot on the right…the one with the climbing coral colored clematis. Come on in, help yourself to libations and the only tip I ask for is that you leave a poem as you leave! See you in the morning!
Lill
AIN: I am so sorry I cannot comment at your site. You wrote once again very powerfully and with great insight into the pain and horror and human condition of war, and the redemption love can bring us. May peace come to heal all in Ukraine.
Dear Gillena…For several times now I have not been able to get past the Google code to leave a comment. I don’t want you to think I’m snubbing you. I read your poems, and “try” to leave a comment, and thank you for your visits to my blog.
Hello again! Will the live readings be posted on Youtube, by any chance?
