This is our last post for 2018 and on behalf of the dVerse Team, thank you for your active participation and support of our pub. We will be taking a two week break to rejuvenate and spend time with family and friends. We wish you all the best for the holidays and into the new year!!!
As you know, OpenLinkNight is your opportunity to link 1 poem of your choice as this is no prompt-day. For those who missed the Mr Linky deadline the past week or this Tuesday’s poetics about “Magic of Ordinary Things“, this is also your opportunity to share your poem. Our pub talk – Identify and Perspective – is still open for discussion and commenting. Thank you for your enthusiasm and thoughts on the topic.
I am sharing an inspiring message today by Marianne Williamson, Our Deepest Fear.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.
We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us;
It’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.
See you in January 1, 2019 for Tuesday’s Poetics!!!!
To join us for Thursday’s OpenLinkNight, which happens every other week, here’s how to join:
See you at the poetry trail. ~Grace~

Hello everyone, wishing all, a safe and happy holiday seasons. Am sharing a very old poem that I wrote for Venus (1 of 3 feline companions that share my life), when she was still, a kitten, for Santa Claws.
Warm Greetings to you Grace and Happy Christmas to everyone at dVerse. What is my final piece to be published this year was posted on my site this week – so thought I’d take the opportunity to share it in the OLN of 2018. Looking forward to catching up with everyone else’s festive offerings tonight. Spookily enough, Marianne’s cri de coeur is one of my all time faves… Copies of which I often have in my wallet to share with folk along the way… And on the topic of shining as best you can, good luck to you Sanaa with your interview tomorrow… x
Her writings are very motivational and uplifting. Thank you Scott for joining us. Cheers.
Happy winter break to all. And happy upcoming new year.
Happy winter break to you and yours Frank. Thank you for being part of our team.
2018 was a tough year for me, the first six months I hardly participated at all here at the Pub–but in August I rose out of my personal chaos and health woes, and leaped back into the fray. The fellowship here at dVerse rejuvenated my sagging soul. I look forward to 2019, and all the poetic treasures yet to come. Merry Christmas nd Happy New Year to each and every poetic one of you. We are family.
I am so glad you leaped back into the fray Glenn. We are very thankful for your support all these years. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Cheers for 2019!!!

It was fun reconnecting with dVerse after being offline for a number of years because of the complications of diabetes which had ecacerbated my chronic congestive heart failure. A Pacemaker implant last year got me back on my feet, so this summer I started particpating online again, after a long absence. First at Hello Poetry, then back here. I have been selectively participating in online poetry communities for as long as there have been such. I remember when this site was born. I was part of Dana Guthrie’s “Read, Write, Poem” community at the time – and publishing my own writing prompt site called Writer’s Island. At 71, I been writing 55+ years – only and always for the pure joy of it, and my timeless compulsive addiction to it. It TRULY keeps me marginally sane. Looking forward to shedding more ink in 2019 here, and elsewhere. The best of the holidays to all of you. Come visit me anytime at Image & Verse. You are a kind, welcoming group. :-/)
Rob, it was great reconnecting with you. I am glad that writing and reading poetry gives you such joy and happiness. Wishing you good health, joy and peace to you and your family. See you on Jan. 1, 2019!!!
