Hello friends, today, being back from my hiatus I welcome you to join the live event. My vacation has been spent outdoors to a large extent. First we went packrafting in an area with a large amount of lakes and then we went hiking in the mountains. We had mostly good weather, both very warm and a little bit colder.
I have not written anything and only read Agatha Christie Mystery books.
How have you spent your summer.
As usual for a live edition we will be open for an online session for the first hour from when the pub opens at 3 PM EST.
To join the live event just follow this link: https://meet.google.com/nac-rtfs-weg?authuser=0&hs=122
If you have a headset for your computer it helps with the sound and if you join by mobile or iPad you can download the Google Meet App.
Please link up your one poem and comment as usually in the linkup. The Live edition makes it possible for you to read your poem for the rest of us.

Hi Björn, thank you for hosting another fine night of poetry. I have spent the last month in the cold North West of England and as a result have caught a virus (not covid!) and I’m feeling pretty drained. I enjoyed listening tonight, and will catch up on reading tomorrow.

Thanks for hosting Bjorn today’s OLN Live. I wasn’t in the right mood today at noon, so I decided it would be best for me to pass. I have been falling over and over into a dark negative place the last few weeks, so I started perusing some of my older fantasy pieces. I came across this piece that had been through several revisions over the last 11 years. I have always thought fondly of its iterations, so I pulled it out, revised it yet again, and added an entire new verse to it. It was the light, fantastical feeling I was looking for — so I found a more appropriate title for the new improved piece, and posted a link to it here.

Just now tried to listen to the recording of today’s OLN Live — but there was no sound? ☹️
msjadeli said:
Rob, there was no sound when I tried it, both here and at youtube.

I would dearly love to listen …. all I can do is watch. My lipreading skills sub-par. LOL

I wish I could have been there. Life led me down a different path today. I was busy following up on potential job leads. Hopefully, it will pay off. I would have much rather been listening to your poetry.
Thanks for sharing the recording.
Take care all,
Ali

Sorry I missed the Live! I am not getting sound on the link either. Going to get caught up on my reading tomorrow as time permits. 💗
Björn Rudberg (brudberg) said:
I failed the setup for the recording… I will try better next time.

Hi All, I have posted a poem. I thought it was 5am Saturday morning (local time) but from what Tricia says, I have missed it. 😦 Must’ve been last night. I seem to get the links late. Or I haven’t converted the time properly. Ah well. Such is life.
Björn Rudberg (brudberg) said:
I hope you get the time next time. We always go live at the same time which is 3 PM EST, if you just google that you will get the right time.

Missed the Live (as usual; it’s just too hard to arrange the workday around it), but managed an entry just today, from a friend’s prompt of “toes”. Since it’s morning, I’ll skip the bar and just finish my coffee.

I can understand that… it is hard to fit around every time-zone.
