I’ll take without. We dodged the tornadoes here in Atlanta two days ago, but south of here, 20 miles south, it was like a war zone. The drones used to report the damage is startling and shocking. My poem hasn’t anything to do with the tornadoes but a sadness that comes when one ignores one element for a frustrating other. Glad it’s OLN. Will make the rounds. Thanks, Bjorn.
Björn Rudberg (brudberg) said:
Glad to see you, and happy that you managed to avoid the tornadoes… here we still have winter, though today we had a bit of thaw… I wonder if I will be able to skate on easter this year.

Hello Björn! Thank you for hosting. Just a diet coke for me today please. Remnants of flu still hanging about.
Björn Rudberg (brudberg) said:
Oh course… we do have coke, hope the flu get better soon.
Vivian Zems said:
Thanks Björn, it’s almost all gone. I must be getting old 🙂

Glad to see you and all others here, Bjorn. A tornado (there were several) can really changed your POV. It’s supposed to be in the 50’s but it’s cold outside. The howling wind. I have big wind chimes that alert the street to the winds! They are right outside my bed on the eaves and clang unmercifully. I’ll take snow and ice over tornadoes any day. It seems that Atlanta has become Tornado Alley now for the past decade at least. Scary stuff. KIss the snow for me.

Greetings fellow poets! I hope you are all doing well. i’m off on strange adventures, and a strange muse has possesed me, obsessed me. i’m not sure i like it. but it must come out. several posts in a row, similar, different. the only clew i can leave is in the tags.
Björn Rudberg (brudberg) said:
That sounds like speaking in tongues… which would be a great thing.
erbiage said:
oh and i botched the mr linky. can you please remove #6?
Björn Rudberg (brudberg) said:
I will
erbiage said:
Thanks. Though it appears to be a series it really is one work. The time release is part of it, I’m not sure a blog is the best venue for it though. We just got another 8″ of snow here, that’s 20cm.

Hi Bjorn ! Thanks for hosting and sharing the reading. Please note that OLN is only 1 poem per poet, to avoid any misunderstanding ~ I will hit the trail in a bit ~
Björn Rudberg (brudberg) said:
Indeed… 🙂 I keep that under control
Gay Cannon said:
Ok you hooked me with eecummings. I think he was my original inspiration for writing poetry. This is a 55 I wrote to put up for Joy’s page and got lost somewhere along the way and didn’t. So I’ll add it now. I am only writing sporadically but I’ve missed you guys at the pub so I thought I’d drink today with all of you.
Björn Rudberg (brudberg) said:
So nice to see you Gay, and glad that you added the 55… ee cummings is a great reason to start writing… but I found him much later.
Frank Hubeny said:
Thanks for hosting, Bjorn! I’ll see if I can get the one I was writing for Paul for Poetics on Tuesday finished.

There should be plenty of time for that. Bring in the soul

Greetings everyone! I don’t usually drink but I’ve had a tough afternoon so a Vodka cocktail of some description would be lovely – hold the parasol please!

No parasol vodka martini coming up… shaken not stirred

Thank you, Bartender!

A very cheery good evening to you all – for once I am home early and can link up and read some of the poems on the Open Link Night! I also need a very large glass of wine, as we’ve had a very exciting week with students occupying the university, so all our stairwells are blocked, so we have to go via basements and tunnels to get to our offices. So exciting!
Björn Rudberg (brudberg) said:
Oh I can offer you a great Burgundy I have saved just for you…
Frank J. Tassone said:
Afternoon, Poets! Thanks, Bjorn, for hosting today! Just keep the red wine flowing! 🙂

Hi Bjorn and cheers for hosting.
I already have water hot from the kettle but might have a whiskey later!
I am busy for and hour or so, and will then return to read others.
Until then, kind regards.

Hello! Been waiting all week to ride my bike but it’s raining. It’s ok we need it. The sun is out now but it’s very windy so I’ll wait until tomorrow. Gives me more time to read poetry! Today I’m sharing an oldie never posted before.
Hugs all around!
Björn Rudberg (brudberg) said:
Here it’s still winter and I can cross the lake on the ice on bicycle… that great as it means a big shortcut.
Bekkie Sanchez said:
I can only imagine the beauty there and the cool bicycle ride that would be. Probably pretty cold and windy. I’ll never forget that video you posted of your wife ice-skating on perfect ice during your seasonal nature outing. So wonderful.

“E. E. Cummings – Poet – Edward Estlin Cummings is known for his radical experimentation with form, punctuation, spelling, and syntax; he abandoned traditional techniques and structures to create a new, highly idiosyncratic means of poetic expression”.
You picked one of the pioneers for my writing.

Whisky is always good. We are now in Autumn, my favourite time of the year. Bright, sunny days and changing, falling leaves. Except for the eucalypts, they fall all of the time and never completely, and their bark peels like skin before Autumn.
